Well I finally got around to getting a picture of my Gundams. I’ve actually built 2 more since the last time I posted anything and modified Exia to Astraea.

I built and finished these two models. I finished Unicorn over the weekend (bah… and didn’t study for my BCS exam) and I finished Crossbone just today. Argh. I’ve been spending way too much time on Gundams. Unicorn took me about 15+ hours while Crossbone took me a good 12+. >_>; And actually… I’m not quite done I guess. I need to buy markers to trace in the lines and perhaps put on the decals.
I’ll post pictures when I get the time to do so. 😀

😀 I bought Gundam Unicorn yesterday night. Hopefully it’ll get to me soon so I can build it and post pics.
Hahaha… I saw the Gundam posted on Ebay. I recognized the Ebay store name and Google’d it. Good thing I did too. The listing was for $49.95 and $12.95 for shipping. The Ebay store had a real site it was selling things from. Any hoo the site had the Gundam for a lot cheaper, $37.50 and $9 for shipping. And there was another thing, I thought I had distinctly remembered buying from this store at AX. Haha. I was right, I’ve bought lots of Gundams from them before. MmmMmm.. Hopefully their website is as good as their AX booth.
Oh, I bought from japanesetoywarehouse.com by the way. There’s a link on the right side too.
Well, the site is NOT as good as their AX booth. So I ordered 2 Gundams about a week ago right? And the site says it takes one day to process orders and then 1-2 to ship. Well… After not getting an email about anything. I got pissed and searched for their phone number. Bah… So they just ended up telling me that what I ordered was out of stock blah blah sorry blah I’m not being charged blah blah. >=/ Gawd damn it. I really wanted that Gundam.

Whoa-ho-ho. I just finished watching Prince of Tennis the live action movie. Well, as I pretty much expected, it was pretty bad. The movie loosely followed the anime/manga. The movie was supposed to have covered between episodes 1 through 68, but there was only maybe 15 episodes’ worth of content. A bit of the team rankings was shown and then there were some matches between Ryouma and his father and a match versus Tezuka. Then it skips all the way to the Seigaku vs. Hyoutei arc. Hm… So 68 episodes in 2 hours… Yeah, no character development whatsoever. None of the characters had any of the charm that made them likeable in the anime. The special tennis moves each character did were obviously fake. A couple of things were changed in the movie as well. It seemed like Momo and Taka switched personalities. Ryuuzaki was a completely different person in the movie. Sakuno was no where to be seen. Instead, in her place was Hitagi’s younger mute sister (who isn’t in the anime or the manga). For more differences, see the Wiki page.
But, because I love Fuji and the guy that plays Kikumaru in the movie (Adachi Osamu), I enjoyed the movie despite all of its shortcomings.
I give this movie a 3/10 plus 1 point because I love Prince of Tennis. So a 4/10 overall.

I’ve been watching a little bit of everything on TV. A lot of what I watch is on Cartoon Network, which shows its horrible collection of dubbed anime during Adult Swim. Now I must I admit, there are some anime that I like dubbed (there are very, very few). But for the most part… every time I watch dubbed anime, I cringe and a little part inside of me dies. Things just sound so awkward in English.
Argh. I was much happier before I saw Full Metal Alchemist and Naruto in English. Ew.

We watched the first 3 episodes of Lovely Complex on Friday during the Anime Club meeting. It was pretty awesome. I haven’t laughed that much while watching an anime since Ouran High School Host Club. The anime is about a tall girl (5’7”) and a short boy (5’1”) who slowly fall in love. It’s like the stereotypical romance comedy. I thought the anime might be like the movie, rushed and lacking in good full character development but it’s not. Otani and Koizumi are always there for each other and there’s a sweet ending.
My favorite part has to be how everyone talks in Kansai-ben. Aha. I love Kansai-ben. Everything just seems so much funnier when spoken in Kansai-ben.
Chau, chau, chigau~~~~
